New Delhi: Showcasing a technology driven Parliament, the National Youth Parliament Organisation (NYPO) had organized an important budget discussion session by the Youth of India at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, today. Five students are selected from every state and Union territories to represent the voice of their state in this youth parliament.
Lok Sabha speaker, Shri Om Birla is expected to inaugurate the National Youth Parliament 2021-22 which is scheduled on 7th and 8th January 2021 through online address. Since the youth will be proposing the budget for India, different people have been allocated all the ministries for which they have conducted due research. The copy of this budget shall also be presented to the Finance Minister of India, to incorporate the thinking of the youth in the budget making process.
Expert speech on various sectors of economy were discussed and the economy survey was released during the meet which was followed by Halwa ceremony at 4 PM. Rohan Mahajan, Secretary General, NYP welcomed the delegates from all parts of India to this session, urging them to participate and bring the perspective of various state, region and communities in the budget making process.
Under the banner name of National Youth Parliament (NYP) this is a small initiative organized in a very novel manner through the digital medium which could pave ways for the effective operation/ functioning of the actual Parliament. Founded by Kartikeya Goel in 2019, the National Youth Parliament is becoming a major movement with involvement and gathering of more and more youth willing to participate in debate in a civilized manner on the issues of interest to the youth of this country.

DGP, BSF, New Education Policy paving India Forward by Shri Amit Kaushik, MD, ACER, Developing Indian Railways for the 21st Century by Shri AK Sachan, Former MD, DFCCIL, Agriculture Challenge for India, by Mrs. Smriti Verma, Economist, ICRIER, Environmental Challenge by Prof. Atul Kumar, TERI, India’s Healthcare Challenge by Dr. Rajnikant, ICMR, Science & technology Challenge for India by Shri Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST, Making India Atma Nirbhar by Mr. Ravi Pokharna, CEO, Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, Make in India by Mr. Mohan Krishnan, Former Director, IMRB, and Startup India, by Sqn Leader Prerana Chaturvedi, CEO, Rissala Electric Motors.
In sync with the vision of our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish new practices in the society for contribution and popularizing the constitution among Indian youth, the National Youth Parliament is a major step taken towards achieving it.
The main objective of NYP is to sensitize, involve and engage the youth in politics in order to have a better understanding of its nature. Such sessions are also helpful in building and shaping the political views and ideas of the younger generation with their contributions towards a better India.
